It’s time to start thinking about our annual drive to gather handmade valentines for people using, working in and volunteering at women’s shelters across Canada.
This year, we’re switching it up a little because this project is getting out of hand enormous. Last year, we sent out more than 2,000 handmade cards all across the country!
If you’d like your shelter to receive cards, please fill out this form.
If you or an organization you’re apart of is able to make cards and send them to a shelter, please fill out this form.
If you can make a few cards on your own but aren’t capable of committing to any number or mailing them to a shelter, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll arrange a way to get the cards from you.
Donations needed: Stamps (American and Canadian), craft supplies. If you’re able to make a donation, email me at email@example.com and I’ll figure out how to get it from you.
This project is only possible because of hundreds of beautiful hearts that support it. The reaction from people who run shelters is incredible and I’ve heard many stories of women’s Feb. 14 being brightened up with handmade cards. If you have the time, energy and other resources to get involved (even if it’s just sharing this article with others), it’ll make a huge difference in a lot of people’s lives.
