With the Vegan Handmade Market approaching slowly but surely,  so begins the jolly induction of holiday stresses, the peppermint-laced gift giving obligations and time-sensitive inventory blow outs at big-box stores. The Vegan Market would just love to help alleviate this by bringing you the very best locally-curated and carefully-crafted goods.

In this particular post, we highlight the local-loving aspect and introduce you to Caitlin of Real Swanky.

I create quality, hand-embroidered wall art. All items are 100 per cent vegan friendly, from the thrifted, upcycled and traded cotton fabrics, to the felt—made from 100 per cent recycled plastic bottles!—used to back each and every piece.

Salty sayings, minimalist designs and provincial pride are just some of my favourite projects, but I’m always up for a custom order with only a two to five day turnaround!

By supporting local, you help keep your hard-earned wage within your community. Grab the bull orchestra by the horns and have a say in where your money goes! Our top-notch group of artists would be so thrilled to have their prime pickings live in a new, rad home.

Come to the Vegan Handmade Market on Dec. 3 at Earl Grey Community Centre in Winnipeg to see what else we’ve got to offer.
