You don’t have to be a runway model to rock an eye grabbing outfit. When it comes to dressing to impress, there are plenty of ways to kick up your vibe without going broke.

Infinity scarves have to be one of the most versatile items available and are totally affordable as well. I recently watched a YouTube video that showed a girl flipping and twisting an infinity scarf from one look into another and it blew me away. Using elastic bands and clips, the scarf morphed from bolero jacket to sundress and then changed into the cutest sleeveless blouse I’ve ever seen! Hit up YouTube to get a glimpse of the seemingly limitless ways to wear an infinity scarf. There are way too many to list here!

To finish off an ensemble, try grabbing a scarf and twisting it into a belt or wrapping it around your neck with the ends trailing down your back instead of the front. Talk about sex appeal! You can really work that look, especially on a strut downtown when the wind plays with the ends of the scarf, kicking them up behind you, oh snap!! #rockstar!

Super long length necklaces can provide some fun accents to an almost finished outfit too. A form fitting dress could be belted the usual way or you could step into that gorgeous necklace and bring it right up around your waist, tie it in a knot, and flip the loose end around over your derriere or hip for an eye catching change of pace. Seriously hot!

You can also take that long necklace and wrap it around and around your neck, basically covering all the skin from throat to chin with beads or links. This look is so sophisticated and unexpected that heads will definitely turn your way when you make your grand entrance, regardless of the event.

For a fun and quirky twist on a traditional handbag, try repurposing a retro tin lunch box as a purse. Way cute and sure to get some conversations going! Flea markets and thrift shops are ideal places to find items that can be worked into your wardrobe.

Just think how amazing you could look in a slightly large on you blazer with the sleeve cuffs turned up and a big wide belt cinching in the waist. Amazing!

Braiding your hair can go from functional to fabulous by twisting in a piece of jewelry or braiding in a short light scarf. You could also clip a brooch on the back of that classic chignon for an edge of class that no one will expect. Hat pins may be outdated but they can really spice up your up-do. Keep your eyes peeled at the flea market for outside the norm accessories!

When is the last time you wore gloves to a dinner party? If you never have, it’s way past time to try this ultra sizzlingly sexy style out. Guaranteed to draw attention and make you feel like a smouldering, sultry, pinup girl! Add rings and bracelets over top of the gloves and your look will amp way up to siren glam goddess status! For a less chic event, cut the fingers off the gloves and pile on the bracelets. So fun and, again, a look that is sure to be yours alone.

When it comes to flair, open the gates of your imagination and get away from what is trendy. Fashion trends are meant to be set, not followed! Never be afraid to invent your own look. Your outfits tell your story for you so don’t hold yourself back based on what so-and-so might think. Next time you are dressing up or down for a night on the town, remember to add a twist of something different by repurposing your existing wardrobe into something unexpected and unforgettable. And, of course, be fierce and fabulous while you’re at it!
