On June 3, Cockroach will be launching its new project, Stitching Hearts.
With the launch of each new issue of Cockroach Zine, a new crafting project for a non-profit organization will be started!
Cat and dog toys, reusable hand-warmers, reusable pads and knit winter wear are just some of the fun projects we’ll be having you work on.
We will start each project off with a small event. We’ll make sure there’s some entertainment, seating and snacks for you when you drop-in to learn the craft, pick-up supplies or drop-off donations of supplies. This will also be an opportunity for you to drop-off finished crafts from the last issue’s project and purchase the next issue of the zine.
We are so excited about our project logo, which was created by our volunteer graphic designer, LA Johnstone Graphic Design. She was fabulous to work with!
The June/July project launch at Sam’s Place with feature live performances by Tannis Kelm aka Pardon Mein French and Alannah Zeebeck.
The craft and non-profit will be announced closer to the date. If you have suggestions, comment below or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to hear from you!
