Last week I packed up some knitting supplies and headed down to Sam’s Place to teach anyone who showed up how to knit and to listen to some great local music by Trude Blackmon, Doug McArthur and Alex Spring.
The group was small, which was perfect because teaching knitting is more difficult than I had anticipated. You can check out more photos from the evening on our Facebook page.
We had such a great time meeting new people and sharing skills while listen to music, that Alex Spring and I have decided to get together on a monthly basis. They will organize some great local music while we will find something new to teach those who show up.
If you have a crafty skill that you would like to share (and could reasonably be able to teach in a couple hours at a coffee shop) let us know! Something you’ve wanted to learn but need some help with? We’re open to suggestions. Keep an eye on our events page for the announcement of what’s going on in June.
